Funding agencies
The following agencies offer loans to Bristol businesses:
The Bristol Enterprise Development Fund provides loan finance to both start-up and existing businesses.
Avon and Bristol Co-operative Finance Ltd funds co-operatives and social enterprises in the Bristol area.
The Prince's Trust supports young people (18-30) starting in business with loan finance and mentoring.
The CEED Charity Ltd administers a capital start-up loan called the Young Entrepreneurs Development Loan Fund as well as expansion loans for certain types of business.
PRIME
The PRIME Initiative offers loans to people aged 50 or over who want to start up in business. In Bristol the scheme is administered through BRAVE.
Finance South West
Finance South West funds loans to Bristol's Objective 2 based businesses. Loans are available from £5,000 - £50,000, and can be used for asset purchase and/or working capital. Repayment terms are up to five years, and security is not a pre-requisite.
For any business loan application you will need to have produced a business plan and a cash flow forecast which show that you will be able to repay the loan within the timescales required.
