Bristol's businesses have access to a wide range of courses aimed specifically at the business owner.  Whether you are just starting in business or are looking to develop business skills in your existing business, there are courses and events in Bristol suitable for you.  

Many of the business support agencies offer specific training courses for people considering becoming self-employment.  You can view these on the Events Diary or look at each agency for information on the courses they provide.  In brief:

BRAVE Enterprise Agency give a 3 day Starting in Business Course -  it is run monthly so keep an eye on the Events Diary for dates that suit you.  This course is free of charge.   

CSV provide support for people who are unemployed who wish to become self-employed, and run programmes such as New Deal and Work Based Learning for Adults.   

Bristol's business support agencies also run courses to expand  and develop your business skills. 

Bristol East Side Traders run a variety of training courses and events for businesses within the wards of Easton, Ashley and Lawrence Hill.  BEST also run Lunchtime Seminars on a wide range of issues.  All of these can be viewed on the Events Diary. 

Business West has a full calendar of training courses covering management skills, import/export procedures, sales and marketing techniques as well as customer service.  Members will benefit from reduced rates. 

Bristol College of Business offers business management and ICT training, with sites around the city.  Both UWE and Bristol University provide formal business and management qualifications at postgraduate level.
