Online Learning with Avon Online Virtual Leaning Centre

As an online learner with Avon Online:
  • You will probably be learning from home or work
  • You do not have to go into a traditional learning environment like a college to learn online
  • You will need access to a computer which must have a modem and an account with an ISP
  • You will be able to access your course materials 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Every learner undergoes a learning needs analysis prior to enrolment to provide them with impartial and objective information and advice in selecting their learndirect course.  For those who are new to online learning there are free taster courses in each subject area to try out.

Learners are also assigned an online tutor or mentor who will be responsible for encouraging them through the process and help them take part in other online activities such as conferencing, message boards and email.

You are also encouraged to make the most of your e-learning experience by sharing experiences and helping each other through use of online message boards and chat.

For those learners who wish to gain formal accreditation of your learndirect course, you will be referred to your nearest physical learndirect centre.
