Filwood ward is often known as Knowle West, however it also contains Inn's Court and Filwood Park. 

Largely residential, there is a growing centre for social enterprise at The Park on Daventry Road.  This is also the centre for a community broadband service called Knowle West Web.  This provides affordable high speed Internet access to residents and community venues.  

Filwood Broadway is due to be redeveloped, bringing opportunities for jobs, contracts and workspace.
   

Local facilities include the innovative Knowle West Health Centre, the Mede Community Centre, Knowle West IT Centre, The Knowle West Media Centre and the One-Stop Job Shop.  There are open spaces at Glyn Vale Park and Novers Common.
