Redcliffe
Located between Temple Quay and the Old City in close proximity to Temple Meads Station, the Redcliffe neighbourhood is experiencing significant change with a shift from storage and light industrial uses to residential and office uses. It is anticipated that by 2007 its residential population will have doubled.
A Supplementary Planning Document for Redcliffe is being produced by Bristol City Council and is expected to be adopted in early 2005. The aim is to create a distinctive new quarter for the city centre with a wide mix of uses and high quality design where people will want to live, work and enjoy themselves. Local stakeholder group Redcliffe Futures are involved in shaping the document which enables local residents, businesses and other interests to influence the direction of change over the coming years.

The city council are currently dealing with a planning application for the Courage Brewery Site. This is for a mixed use scheme including business, residential apartments, retail uses, a creche, health and leisure club and micro brewery. Associated with this will be public and private open space, a harbourside walkway, pedestrian and cycle bridge, landscaping and parking.
