RichTopia focusing on women in business

After an incredibly successful first year, the online advisory platform RichTopia is using its newfound reach to empower women in the world of business. The website, which has established itself as a go-to source for all the latest news, interviews, thought pieces and commentary on every area of business, will focus on inspiring women and providing tips, advice and other resources that could help more women to nail down the top jobs all over the globe.

Though progress is being made, women still face a turbulent journey to the top in the world of business. Stateside, just 4.6% of S&P 500 companies have female CEOs, and at the current rate of progression, women won’t reach full pay equality with men until 2058. In the UK, women working full-time earn 9.5% less than men, and only 23% of MPs, 25% of judges and 21% of FTSE 100 company directors are female. Clearly, there is more to be done in the fight for female equality in the boardroom.

That’s where RichTopia comes in. After a whirlwind year of success and growth, the site now boasts a team of around thirty contributors and advisors, many of whom are women that faced their own challenges on their way to the top. Mae Merriweather, for example, RichTopia’s Head of News, states that her main goal is to uplift and empower ordinary businesswomen who are doing extraordinary things in the community and in their professional lives. Other contributors include Ozlem Imil, Founder of learning and development company Head to Inspire, and Gerri Knilans, President of Trade Press Services.

Derin Cag, CEO and Founder of RichTopia, says, “At RichTopia, we’ve made it our mission to become the go-to resource for all those who want to succeed in business – and part of that includes empowering all the women out there that want to make it all the way to the top. Whether we’re promoting our own female contributors or drawing attention to the many inequalities women face in the boardroom and beyond, RichTopia will be playing its part in ensuring women are accurately and fairly represented in business, as well as offering tips, advice and comment pieces from the business world’s most successful women.”
